We studied the effect of Rhodobacter capsulatus PG lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on proinflammatory cytokine synthesis activation by the TLR2 and TLR4 agonists E. coli LPS, Streptococcus pyogenes lipoteichoic acid (LTA), and Pam3CSK4 (a synthetic bacterial lipopeptide) in human whole blood cells. Rhodobacter capsulatus PG LPS was shown to exhibit antagonistic properties against the studied TLR4 and TLR2 agonists, blocking the synthesis of the cytokines TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-8. Possible mechanisms behind the suppressing effect of Rhodobacter capsulatus PG LPS are proposed. Rhodobacter capsulatus PG LPS can serve as a prototype for drugs against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.</p>
LPS R. capsulatus PG может служить прототипом препаратов, защищающих как от грамотрицательных, так и от грамположительных бактерий.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>lipopolysaccharides</kwd><kwd>Rhodobacter capsulatus</kwd><kwd>lipoteichoic acids</kwd><kwd>Pam3CSK4</kwd><kwd>TLR</kwd><kwd>CD14</kwd><kwd>cytokines</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>липополисахариды</kwd><kwd>Rhodobacter capsulatus</kwd><kwd>липотейхоевые кислоты</kwd><kwd>Pam3CSK4</kwd><kwd>TLR</kwd><kwd>CD14</kwd><kwd>цитокины</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Министерство науки и высшего образования Российской Федерации</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source><award-id>1023033100509-9-1.6.7</award-id></award-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Министерство науки и высшего образования Российской Федерации</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source><award-id>075-01512-22-00</award-id></award-group></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Mukherjee S., Karmakar S., Babu S.P.S. // Braz.
